WHY "USE YOUR WORDS"?
What started out as a small idea quickly evolved into a mission to encourage believers to: use your words.
The goal of every piece is to point to how good and kind God is and to encourage questions and conversations that will give you an opportunity to share your God story...and maybe help people write their own!
I Peter 3:15 says it best: "If someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it." It's true that the people we come across day to day need to see us live a life that reflects Jesus. But how will they know what the Gospel can mean for them unless someone tells them?!
My hope is that whatever UYW apparel you're sporting, it can be a conversation starter that opens the door for you to connect with where others are and share the goodness of God in your life...because the world desperately needs to hear the truth of the Gospel told through the story of your life.

THE SHORT ANSWER
In a nutshell, my greatest joy is knowing and loving Jesus more. And very close to the top of my joy list is this life-giving trifecta of creating, growing & developing people, and bringing order (to almost anything). Wherever I find myself, those are the things that naturally come bubbling up out of me. And when those passions make it possible to partner with Godly leaders to help activate you, the Church...there's no other way I want to invest my time and talents.
And if you're looking for some random trivia...I'll never turn down a good street taco, power naps are my favorite energy boost, and these days I'm always down for a vanilla sweet cream cold brew.
A LONGER ANSWER
Recently someone asked me, "So what are you doing now?" Without hesitation, I joyfully replied, "Loving Jesus and discipling as many people as I can along the way." After almost twenty years of full-time ministry, it's been the last few years without any official ministry title or position that I've embraced (and found rest in) all the different shapes "ministry" takes in my day to day life. It’s allowed me to lay down more of the striving that comes so naturally to me. I've traded the busyness I knew, for the ministry that happens through every believer when we embrace real life community, face to face discipleship, love for the Word, a hunger for His presence, and a passion for the Gospel. So here I am...learning resting over striving, valuing being present over busy, and surrendering to His lead in how He wants to use the gifts and passions He's put in me...even when it looks different than what I've known. But best of all, I'm leaning more deeply into Jesus and hopefully leading as many people as I can nearer to the heart of God.
