WHERE I WAS

I was raised in church and saved at a young age but when I turned 18 I began partying a lot and going to bars. I was not living right and getting into a lot of things I shouldn’t have. I finally hit rock bottom and even considered ending my life under the weight of everything going on in my life.

HOW GOD ENCOUNTERED ME

I reached out to a friend who had continuously invited me to their college ministry at church and said I would finally come. I showed up and “randomly” the pastor got up at the end of the service and said “I feel like someone in the room is considering ending their life and you’re questioning where God is and if He even cares or hears you and I want to remind you that He does care and He sees you”. I KNEW in that moment I had just heard God's voice for the first time and surrendered to His lordship that very night.

MY LIFE NOW

I got plugged into Bible studies and small groups and began reading the Word for the first time and it came alive. I never drank again, never visited another bar, and was quickly transformed. I rededicated my life to the Lord and even got baptized again and was truly a new person from the inside out.

It’s been over 10 years now and God has continued to teach me, mold me, heal me, and has been faithful to me in everything. I’ve learned the true character of God and I’m still learning and the one thing that has always rung true in my life is just how faithful He really is!
